Swissdec 5.0 contains a default value for the new BUR number. It used to contain 8 digits, now an alphanumeric prefix is ​​placed in front. The Federal Statistical Office has confirmed to us that letter “A” can always be placed in front of the BUR number for the existing BUR numbers. Setup must be carried out in the ‘Workplace’ table for each workplace entry and must be completed manually before the first submission after submission activation according to Swissdec 5.0.
